5 Signs Your Website Is Losing You Customers

A website can look perfectly fine and still fail at its only real job: turning visitors into customers. In our assessments, we see the same handful of issues over and over, across every industry.

First, a vague headline. If a first-time visitor can't tell what you do and who you do it for within three seconds, they're gone. Your headline should name the outcome you deliver, not just your industry.

Second, a buried call to action. If 'Call Now' or 'Book a Consultation' is only in the footer, you're relying on visitors to scroll and search. Every page should make the next step obvious.

Third, slow load times. Every additional second of load time measurably increases bounce rate, especially on mobile connections. A bloated, plugin-heavy site quietly costs you leads every day.

Fourth, no social proof above the fold. Trust signals — reviews, results, recognizable client logos — should appear early, not just on a dedicated testimonials page nobody visits.

Fifth, a mobile experience that's an afterthought. If most of your traffic is mobile but your site was clearly designed for desktop first, you're losing the majority of your visitors before they even see your offer.

The fix for all five is the same: design the site around the visitor's next action, not around what looks good in a boardroom. That's the whole premise behind how we build.
